Strength in Balance
A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?—Ecclesiastes 2:24–25 (NIV)

Pray for those who persecute you. Praying for someone that isn’t good to you is not easy— especially when you are angry or hurt—but it is exactly what Jesus requests of you in the above verse. By sincerely praying for the worst people in your life, you grow closer to God.
