Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said, “Start and end every day, and in between times too, by thanking God.” Jesus gave everything so that you can live life to the fullest. Reflect on all He has done for you. Thank Him for the power of His love and presence. If you keep a prayer journal, write Him a thank-you note.

Jesus stands with you. He is beside you no matter what tomorrow holds. When life seems overwhelming, turn to Him in prayer. Picture Him in all His glory, strength and power standing between you and any upsetting situation.

Are you struggling over a difficult situation? Have you prayed for a breakthrough but are feeling disheartened? Take your focus off of your own situation and pray boldly for another with an overwhelming circumstance. Devote your time and energy interceding for others suffering in similar ways.

Paul describes your prayer journey in the above verse. Being saved through faith is the start of your path. The good works you do are your progress and development. Today, ask Jesus to show you the works you have been created to do and ask Him for the courage to keep on the path.

Scripture asks that you seek God first in your life. Spend time with Him especially on days when your to-do list is long. Your life will run smoother, your decisions made easier, and your priorities will become clearer when you are rooted in faith. Everything works best with Him on your side.

Take a moment and consider the amazing power of Christ in your life. Feel the comfort of His infinite love. Reflect on how much He suffered for you. Spend time with Him in prayer and ask Him how you can truly know Him.

Jesus not only guided His disciples with His words, but with His walk. He modeled how to share the good news, how to live a life of prayer and so much more. You are also an example to others and the road you travel with Christ isn’t just for you, but for all those who follow and learn.
