Strength in Balance
A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?—Ecclesiastes 2:24–25 (NIV)
This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.—Psalm 18:30 (ESV)
If a mistake or the unexpected happens—a misdialed number, a wrong turn, a missed meeting—instead of worrying or wishing it hadn’t happened, trust God and say a quick prayer of thanksgiving. Often our mistakes turn out to be a detour that brings blessings.
Dear Lord, every coincidence, every blessing in disguise is divine providence at work.
